Donor Doe
486

There is no doubt that the 486 line will be making an impact on the goat industry for years and years to come. There has never been a female breed with more predictability than her at BFMG. Her flushes never end in big numbers of embryos but those embryos result in great kids. Her ’04 flush to VooDoo made 512 (Sugar Ray’s mother), as well as the show doe Ashley Reeves called Paris that won numerous classes on the JABGA circuit. In the summer of ‘05 we flushed her in partnership to Trump semen. My two buck kids were among the highest priced selling bucks in the MidWest that summer. When we mated her to Kid Rock the flush resulted in four ‘07 keeper does that will be flushed in the future as well as Jordan McNeil’s ’08 Houston wether that was a crowd favorite. Her natural bred ’07 buck kid was sold to Alan Hohensee and the reports I heard were that his ’08 wethers were better than ever. She is also the dam and granddam to Cool Ray. I honestly believe she could make anyone’s buck famous. We are flushing her to Landshark in the November flush. |
512
Easily the stoutest made doe on the place. Big boned, heavy muscled but still looks like a lady. I spent way to much time at Blaine’s and missed getting her bred as a doe kid and I am still kicking my butt knowing that Sugar Ray could have been around a year sooner. When he finally got here, it was easy to decide to flush this VooDoo daughter back to Kid Rock. From that flush came Kryptonite and a set of wethers that will be a force to be reckoned with at the Texas majors this coming spring. Landshark has been given the nod to make the next set of champs out of 512. |
603, 604, 605
This set of Kid Rock sisters join the party this fall. They only need one description because Fowler’s 3537 and my 4138 (Bingo) made them all the same, extra stylish and nice patterned with the right amount of volume and muscle. Having this set of full sibs is like getting to flush 4138 three times in the same program because they all look just like her. Maybe this will make up for losing her before I was done flushing her. 4138 could have rivaled 486 as the top doe at BFMG. She even earned ennoblement after her Trump flush kids went to 2 shows. (Of course if that ennobled stuff means anything to you, you are on the wrong Web site, although that plaque did make a nice picture frame.) Sugar Ray will go on 603 and Kryptonite on 604 and 605 for the November program. |
NK W156 On the way to NK’s Labor Day sale Kenny, Slayton and I all talked about a doe we saw online that we liked. After seeing her in person there was no doubt she was coming home with us. She has, by far, the biggest rack on any doe I have ever seen. But that isn’t all, she is perfect on the move, has a great loin, freaky level hip and a huge butt. Needless to say she fits right in around here as one of only two outcross donor females brought in since 2004. Norman and Preston both kept one doe a piece of her two sibling sisters and put this one in the sale to prevent them from having a rock throwing contest to see who got her. This Surprise Surprise X Cadillac Style doe will be mated to Kryptonite for a fall flush. |
6066
After Sugar Ray was born I spent the next four months trying to find an outcross doe to flush to him. Only the topside of 6066, Mozart, was an outcross. She was long fronted, had a big loin, and a great hip. Her rib shape wasn’t exactly what I desired but with Sugar Ray having a rib shape like a great barrow I knew it would work. We worked hard and long to kill nearly every kid out of that flush mating as well as her two natural buck kids also sired by Sugar Ray. With the kids that lived I knew I had a problem. There was no doubt that the buck tagged 6003 was the best buck kid I had ever seen, and I also knew it was Jordan’s senior year. After a month of restless nights deliberating the decision at hand I burned his horns and slipped a band on him. Love ya sis. We flushed her back to Sugar Ray for December ’08 kids and ultrasounded 18 of the 22 embryos implanted. She will be covered by Sugar Ray in a fall program. |
